Dear Friends! The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations (IFKF) jointly had World Kidney Day celebrated on Thursday, March 9th The theme was 'Early Detection and Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease' which would help foster awareness of prevention and screening programs of people in “high-risk groups” for kidney disease, with the aim to broadcast the importance of this message to government health officials, general physicians, allied health professionals, individuals and families. Delhi Nephrology Society Worked closely with health professionals and educators to highlight the benefits of opportunistic free screening programs, targeting "high risk" individuals.  They encouraged those over 50, smokers, people with diabetes and/or hypertension, or who had first-degree relatives with hypertension and diabetes to seek evaluation and follow-up from a physician. They organized free health check up camps and educational activities in the Morning on 9th March at various hospitals/clinics. There was a “Save Kidney March”  with various physicians and patients taking part. There was also first DNS oration in the evening.
